Boys, you made us proud!

Bidding winters a warm goodbye, here we are at the start of the summer season, tuning in to our go-to sports channels with snacks and sodas yet again, waiting for the boys to seal the pitch with their victories. Yes, we are talking PSL! With high hopes, renewed energy and gushing spirits, this year is gonna be no different as the excitement levels of the masses continue to shoot with every ball that hits the boundary.

Amidst all this cricket craze, we saw how some of our favourite players continued to win the hearts of their people, not just on the cricket ground but, more importantly, in their personal lives. With wedding shenanigans roaring out loud and social media posts getting all trendy, there was one thing that set everything apart. Yes, you read it right!

Opting for no-music events, keeping the camera click-clicks minimum, choosing not to bombard their feeds with those special moments and keeping extra care of privacy, the boys set an example leagues apart on how you can have a halal celebration, keeping intact all the shariah-compliant Islamic values. Besides that, in these times of modernity, with all that glam and glitter accompanied by fame, money and power, one could have gone all out and about. But still, choosing to stick to your core values and not breaking the bounds of modesty is something we surely have to accolade an appreciation for.

“And one of His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves so that you may find comfort in them. And He has placed between you compassion and mercy. Surely in this are signs for people who reflect” [Quran 30:21].

With the start of a new journey ahead, what could you want more than the endless mercy and countless blessings of Allah (SWT) that can help you both blossom through your upcoming life and without which no home can become a paradise? A love story kicking off the halal way surely doesn’t limit the souls to this world; the tales go miles beyond until they reach the heavens afar.

And so, we wish the duos a beautiful life ahead with lots of love, barakah and mercy for years to come! In Sha Allah.
